The Charity Whistlestop Tournament is due to take place on Saturday 26th July this year so mark the date. It is in aid of RNLI Lifeboats. More details will be posted here shortly.

There were five groups in the American tournament at 1st of the Summer Wine on June 20th. The winning couples were:

- Isabelle Cowman and Clara O'Neill

St. Annes Waterford Tennis Club is holding its 88th Open Tournament between Sunday the 6th and Saturday the 12th of July. The tournament is sponsored by Waterford Crystal. Application forms are available for download via their website www.stannestennis.com or can be picked up at the clubhouse in Tramore. The closing date for entries is Saturday 28th June.

Summer camp will commence on Monday 30th June and run for 5 days. The camp is run by Willie Reynolds and Patrick McGrath. The cost is €60 per child or €150 for 3 siblings. Note that all children should bring a drink and snack each day.

- Camp for ages 4 to 8 years will be held from 10:30am to 1pm
- Camp for ages 9 and over will be held from 1:30pm to 4:30 pm

Names can be submitted via the noticeboard at the clubhouse.

Volunteers are needed for help with landscaping, court maintenance and general club and grounds maintenance. To offer your time please contact the senior committee or Trish on 0868959620.

There is currently development work in progress at the club and all are asked to avoid the machinery. The committee apologises for any inconvenience and ask members to bear with the disruption.

It's time for 1st of the Summer Wine this Friday. You can submit your name, grade and telephone number for the Open American Tournament on the noticeboard at the clubhouse. There is great interest already so it's shaping up to be a great night. The fee is €5. Barbeque and BYO.

The tournament will run from Sunday 13th to 19th July and the closing date for entries is 9th July at 6pm.

A doubles fun tournament will be held in the club this Saturday. During the morning the U10's will compete and in the afternoon the over 10's will compete. A text message with details will be sent to all of those who have registered for text notification.

This will be the first of a number of Junior doubles tournaments to be held during the Summer which will include separate events for the over 13s. The fee for each tournament will be €2.

Note also that there is a tournament for the over 13s in St. Annes this Thursday 17th June.
